Why Josben Care

02
Lead by example, mentor colleagues, hold standards in the field.
03
Rotas, packages, and the calm centre of continuity.
04
Quality, supervision, and registered pathways where the service needs them.
Sideways routes into training, quality, office, and recruitment support roles also open as the team grows.
Funded qualifications and specific training offers are confirmed per role — ask recruitment for the vacancy you want.
On the job
Home care is skilled, human work. A typical day is a sequence of visits — each one a person's own home, preferences, and plan.
You know the care plan, the person's preferences, and what good looks like before you knock.
Personal care, meals, medication prompts where authorised, companionship — always at the person's pace.
Clear notes, timely handovers, and the confidence to raise concerns without delay.
Local rounds where the role requires it — realistic travel and continuity, not endless scatter.

Culture & values
Interviews are built around these values — not just a checklist of tasks.
Everyone is treated as a person first. Independence is protected, not managed away.
Kindness that shows up in practical ways, on ordinary days, not just difficult ones.
Someone's home is their own. We work to their preferences, at their pace.
Care plans fit the person, not the rota. We listen first and adapt as needs change.

FAQs
Not always. Many care assistant roles welcome career-changers who bring reliability, compassion, and a willingness to train. Each vacancy sets out what is essential.
It depends on the role and the patch. Community rounds often need a licence and vehicle; some packages do not. The vacancy will say clearly.
Contact details, address, availability, experience, short values answers, eligibility and adjustments, and an optional CV. Education history, employment history, references and National Insurance number may be requested later by the recruitment team. Identity documents and right-to-work evidence are also requested later.
The application asks only about unspent convictions, current proceedings, and whether you are barred from regulated activity. Those answers are stored separately. Broader spent-conviction wording from the paper form is not used until legal review is complete. We do not ask medical questions on the public form.
Yes. A record does not automatically bar you. We consider relevance, seriousness, and time passed. Some old and minor matters are filtered by law.
Sponsorship is confirmed per vacancy. The application asks whether you would need sponsorship so we can answer early for that role.
The application takes about 5–10 minutes. After that, timescales depend on the role. Each vacancy shows its closing date where set.
Tell us on the form or call us. Extra time, accessible venues, phone interviews, or questions in advance are all straightforward to arrange.
