About the role
Provide continuous, person-centred support in the person's home on a live-in basis — protecting dignity, routine, and independence.
Live-in carers support people who need ongoing presence at home. Packages vary; this vacancy is tailored to the support each person needs. Josben Care uses safer recruitment: Stage A expression of interest, shortlisting, interview, then Stage B / pre-employment checks only for candidates invited forward. Right-to-work evidence, references, and any DBS process are handled after invitation — not on the initial application.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, meal support, and daily living assistance in the person's home
- Maintain the person's preferred routines and home environment with respect
- Keep clear records and communicate with family / coordinators as agreed
- Follow the care plan and escalate changes in condition or risk
- Work within agreed rest and sleep arrangements for the package
Person specification
Essential
- Right to work in the UK
- Strong boundaries, empathy, and reliability over multi-day placements
- Willingness to complete induction and package-specific briefing
Desirable
- Previous live-in or 24-hour care experience
- Dementia or complex-care experience where the package requires it
- Full UK driving licence if the package includes community access
