About the role

An experienced carer who leads by example on visits, supports newer colleagues, and helps keep continuity and standards high in the community.

Senior Care Workers provide hands-on care and informal leadership in the field: modelling good practice, supporting induction of colleagues, and flagging quality or risk issues early. This role supports Josben Care's community and domiciliary work — at home and in the settings where people receive their care. Josben Care uses safer recruitment: Stage A expression of interest, shortlisting, interview, then Stage B / pre-employment checks only for candidates invited forward. Right-to-work evidence, references, and any DBS process are handled after invitation — not on the initial application.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality personal and practical care in people's homes
• Support and mentor less experienced carers during shadowing and early visits
• Escalate clinical, safeguarding, or quality concerns promptly
• Contribute to continuity by covering key packages and communicating changes clearly
• Maintain accurate records and support audit / spot-check readiness
